Signed and dated Pierre Eugène Lacoste (Pierre Eugène Lacoste, 1818–1908) was a renowned French illustrator and costume designer. The drawings are done in watercolour and dated 1871. relate to the opera-bouffe «The Carrot King» (Le Roi Carotte).
