John Hagny (John Hagny) also John Hagney, 1833-1876) - was an American artist who worked primarily in Newark, New Jersey. He painted portraits, still lifes, landscapes, and decorative works. Hagny was active in Newark’s artistic life and exhibited at local industrial and art exhibitions. His works are held in the collections of the Princeton University Art Museum, the New Jersey Historical Society, and the Newark Museum.
