Boris Mikhailov (born 1938). Photography, wife of the author, 1980s. Size 24 x 18 cm (9 1/2 x 7 inches). Presented by the author to the current owner. (Ukrainian artist born 25 August 1938 in Kharkiv. Resides and works in Berlin. One of the most outstanding modern photo artists. He has won numerous prestigious international photo prizes, including the Hasselblad Foundation award. He is a guest artist at DAAD, Berlin, Germany and a visiting lecturer at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. Mikhailov's solo exhibitions were presented in the top art museums and institutions of Europe and America, including Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Kunsthalle, Zurich; Fotomuseum Winterthur; National Gallery of Modern Art, Rome; Boston Institute of Contemporary Art; Saatchi Gallery in London and etc. His works can be seen in the collections of Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Museum of Modern Art; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Minich Pinacoteca; Victoria and Albert Museum in London and other.)
