Bronze, patina, granite, dimensions 43,5 x 17,5 x 17,5 cm (17 x 7 x 7 inches).

Decimo Passani, or Decio (Carrara, August 21, 1884 - Florence, October 30, 1952), was an Italian sculptor.who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Thanks to the favourable climate for young artists in the first forty years of the twentieth century, he participated in numerous exhibitions regularly, from 1907 to 1940.He was the author of the monument to the fallen of Florence-Santo Spirito, in Piazza Santo Spirito and of numerous monuments and tombstones for the Florentine cemeteries of Trespiano and Porte Sante.
