Lot Description
A secretaire with bronze ormolu, the 1st half of the 19th century. Empire (Baltic), Russia (?). Wood (veneer and solid mahogany) and bronze (casting, gilding, chasing, polishing). Height 222 cm (87 1/3 inches), width and depth 107 x 52 cm (42 1/4 x 20 1/2 inches).
Conditions
The bronze is in excellent condition with bright original gilding, the wood has multiple defects but is generally stable.
